Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply to venues using Slanya — the venue portal, the shared staff dashboard, and the underlying alert system. They don't apply to patrons, who use the product anonymously with no account.
1. Acceptance
By creating a venue or staff account, you agree to these terms on behalf of your venue.
2. The service
Slanya notifies your staff when a patron submits an alert, and gives you tools to manage stalls, staff, and incident history. It's a staff-notification tool, not an emergency service — see the disclaimer on the homepage, which forms part of these terms.
3. Account responsibilities
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for keeping your venue's staff contact details (phone numbers, portal accounts) accurate and up to date — alerts can only reach staff whose contact details are current.
4. Acceptable use
The alert system is for genuine safety use. Test alerts should only be sent through the clearly-flagged test mode, not the real patron-facing flow. Don't use the service for anything unlawful or for purposes other than venue safety.
5. Service availability
We aim to keep Slanya available and responsive at all times, but — like any hosted service — can't guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
6. Fees
Pilots are currently free.
7. Liability
Slanya is a notification tool, not a guarantee of any particular outcome or response time — response depends on your venue's own staffing.
8. Termination
Either party can end a venue's use of Slanya at any time by getting in touch. We may suspend an account for misuse of the service (see Acceptable use, above).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
10. Contact
